Special Olympics Indiana Vanderburgh County

Special Olympics Indiana Vanderburgh County is a not-for-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in 7 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, reaching more than 200 athletes in Vanderburgh and Posey Counties. The organization receives no federal- or- state-appropriated funds, is not a United Way agency and relies entirely on corporate, civic and individual donations.

Softball Bocce

Swimming Horseshoes

Bowling Track and Field


Medical and application forms are required for all Special Olympics Participants.

SOVC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.


Persons eight years and above are eligible for participation if identified by an agency or professional as either:

  • Having an intellectual disability; or
  • Having a developmental disability, including functional limitations both in general learning and adaptive skill.
