THANK YOU 911 GIVES HOPE FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT
We were pleasantly surprised to open up a recent Evansville Courier & Press to find that SMILE on Down Syndrome was awarded a $1,500 grant from our police and firefighter friends at 911 Gives Hope / Guns & Hoses. These grant funds will be used to help underwrite conference scholarships to the National Down Syndrome Congress annual conference taking place this weekend in Indianapolis. We are grateful for their donation towards our organization because having the conference this close and accessible to our families does not come around very often, and having the opportunity to attend can be a life changing experience for families as they learn more about their child’s Down syndrome diagnosis and find out ways to provide that child a better quality of life. With the gaining of educational to advocacy to nutritional information and more, we anticipate our SMILE families who attend to come back bursting with new knowledge and more confident in their roles as parents. So from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU to our friends at 911 Gives Hope! You truly help bring bright hope for the future for those with Down syndrome!
